Fun With The Grandbabies!!!

Hi Everyone - This has been a good week. I have been blessed to spend some special time with 3 of my grandchildren. First, I went to the apple orchard with Johnny and Jackie and the girls. We had a great time. I love the orchard!! We pick our own and enjoy the apples while we pick. This is okay with the owners of the orchard. Here is a picture of Jada and JoHannah by an apple tree.

Then, today, Sis. Charlotte took me and Noah to the zoo. It was Noah's first visit. I wished Leah and Jimmy could have been there but both had to work. He did fantastic!! Although, he was more interested in the people instead of the animals. He got to have some close encounters with our animal friends.

We were at the shark petting tank. Noah was ready to jump in. (He loves water) He never got the chance to actually pet a shark, but I finally got to. I had to shove my arm down to past my elbow, but I got to touch a shark. I was surprised. They feel soft. like our skin. I expected it to be tough, but it wasn't.

Here is Noah and Sis. Charlotte at the seal tank. If you look close enough, you'll see a seal to the right.

This is the polar bear tank. Caitlynn, Noah and I are watching one of the bears. I don't think you can see the bear in the picture because of the bright light. But, he's there.

This is a baby walrus who was looking eye to eye with Noah. You can't see Noah, but Noah sure saw the walrus.

This is my favorite. This beauty is a meerkat. He was posing for the camera.
Well, there are plenty more pictures, but I'll let Leah share those since they are on her camera.

It's been awhile....

Hi Everyone,
It's been a long time since I posted anything. I could say I have been too busy. But, that wouldn't be true. I had a few moments I could have sit down and wrote something. My real reason was, I couldn't think of anything to say. I want to be an uplift to my sisters. Sure, I could talk about how bad the past month has been, but, you know, there are those in much worse shape then me. So, after our last monthly sister's meeting, I got thinking about how I wished I had used my youth better. Especially, my spiritual life with Ralphie. If I could give any advice to my younger married sisters, is to walk hand in hand with your husband in the faith. Work together, stand together, pray together, walk together and yes even fast together if necessary. Don't waste your time or God's time pulling against one another. I miss my life with Ralphie. Our last 5 years were the best. We finally figured out how to truly walk for God as a married couple. It was wonderful. I often think back about how much good we could have done for God if we would have gotten our act in gear sooner. Talk about "Wasted Years"! But, I am thankful for those last 5 years. I'm thankful that Ralphie was as dedicated as he was when he went to sleep in the Lord. I have confidence that he is actually asleep in peace and rest. Waiting for God to tell His son, it's time. To my young unmarried sisters. BE PICKY!! This is for the rest of your life. If it is God's will that you marry, He will lead you to the mate he has chosen.

Thanks for your prayers for the young man who was burned and is paralyzed. He has had several skin graphs. His family is keeping an online journal of his days. He is keeping a good frame of mind. He is improving with his burns and mobility. I guess the next big hurdle is surgery for his spinal injury. They've not said much about that since the main emphasis is on the burns for right now.

Talk to you'all later!!

Love,
Momma Lou aka Sis. Frankie
